Donald Justice (b. 1925), American poet, was educated at the Universities of Miami, North Carolina and Iowa and taught English and writing at a number of American colleges and universities. His Selected Poems won the Pulitzer Prize for poetry in 1979.

Lewis Turco (b. 1934), American poet and critic whose works include The Shifting Web (1989) and Emily Dickinson, Woman of Letters (1993).
