Ellard A. Walsh (b. Oct. 3, 1887, Hull, Quebec, Canada), U.S. National Guard officer, became a U.S. citizen in 1896. He served as a private in the 1st Minnesota Infantry from 1907 to 1916 and as an officer with the 135th Infantry. He was assistant adjutant general, State of Minnesota from 1919 to 1925 and adjutant general from 1925 to 1946. In 1943 he was elected as president of the National Guard Association of the U.S. and of the Adjutants General Association of the U.S.
