George Bibb was a Senator from Kentucky.

George Minos Bibb was born in Prince Edward County, Virginia in 1776. Bibb studied law in Virginia, then migrated to Kentucky in 1798. He held several elected offices including the Kentucky House of Representatives, and U.S. Senator (1811-1814 and 1829-1835). During his time between elected office, Bibb was appointed Chief Justice of the Kentucky Court of Appeals. He was a proponent of the New Court in the Old Court/New Court battle. Bibb supported states' rights and the constitutional rights of minorities. He served as Secretary of the Treasury under President John Tyler, in 1844-1845. Bibb practiced law in Washington, D.C. for the rest of his life. He passed away in 1859.
