Mel Ott played his entire career with the New York Giants (1926-1947, 1942-1947 as player-manager). After his playing career, Ott managed the Giants (1948), managed in the minor leagues, and worked as a broadcaster for the Detroit Tigers. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1951.
