Natalie Allyn Wakeley Sleeth (1930-1992) was born in Evanston, IL on Ocotober 29, 1930 and graduated from Wellesley College with a BA in Music Theory in 1952. She also studied under Lloyd Pfautsch at Southern Methodist University. She married Ronald L. Sleeth, a Methodist minister and teacher of Homelitics who became president of West Virginia Wesleyan College. A prolific composer, Ms Sleeth wrote the words and music for all of her songs. She received honorary doctorates from both West Virginia Wesleyan College and from Nebraska Wesleyan College. She died in Denver, CO on March 21, 1992.
