Frewen (1853-1924) was born in Sussex, England, and came to Wyoming Territory in 1878 on a hunting trip. He and his brother Richard soon afterwards formed the Big Horn Ranche Company and operated a cattle ranch in what is now northeastern Wyoming. In 1882 the company was dissolved after Moreton bought out Richard's share and reorganized the company as the Powder River Cattle Company, Ltd., with an English board of directors. Frewen served as manager of the company until 1886 and the company eventually dissolved in 1889 due to overstocked pastures and harsh winters. Frewen returned to England and speculated in mining and railroad ventures until his death in 1924. He was married to Clara Jerome of New York in 1881 and they had three children.
