Robert Pearce Briscoe was born February 19, 1897. He served as Staff Officer, U.S. Fleet, from 1944 to 1945, and was promoted to rear admiral in April 1945. He served as Deputy Chief of Naval Operations from 1954 to 1956. Briscoe died on October 14, 1968.
