Thomas Prince (1687-1758) was a graduate of Harvard College, a clergyman, scholar, historian, pastor of the Old South Church in Boston, Mass. from 1718 to 1758, and author of A Chronological History of New England, in the Form of Annals (1736).

Thomas Prince (1687-1758) earned his Harvard AB 1707; he had a son, also named Thomas Prince (1722-1748), who earned his Harvard AB 1740. This commonplace book is assumed to have belonged to Thomas Prince, Sr., although it is undated and may have indeed belonged to Thomas Prince, Jr.
