Arthur M. Dorros (pronounced doh-rohs) was born May 19, 1950 in Washington D.C. He was educated at the University of Wisconsin and Pacific Oaks College. After working at various jobs he became a writer of both fiction and non-fiction, and an illustrator, receiving numerous awards for his work. He has written several bilingual (English/Spanish) books, beginning with Abuela and Tonight is Carnaval . Non-fiction works include Ant Cities, which describes how ants live and work together, and This is My House, which describes 22 houses around the world, their milieu, and the people who live in them.
