Sutton, Margaret, 1903-2001

Margaret Sutton was born in 1903 in Odin, Pennsylvania with the name Rachel Beebe. Her children's books were set in Potter County, around the region where she grew up. She wrote books for the mystery series Judy Bolton, starting in 1932 and lasting until 1967. In all, Sutton had 38 books published and over 5 million copies sold throughout her writing career.
