Stanley F. Teele joined HBS in 1936 as Professor of Marketing. He later became the George Fisher Baker Professor of Administration. He was appointed Associate Dean in 1946 and served as Dean of HBS from 1955-1962.

Stanley F. Teele (1906-1967) earned a BA from Amherst College in 1928 and an MBA (1930) and DCS (1933) from HBS. He held many jobs at HBS between 1931 and 1962, including Research Assistant at the Bureau of Business Research, 1931-1933; Assistant Professor of Marketing, 1935-1938; Associate Professor, 1938-1944; Professor of Business Administration, 1944-1946; Associate Dean, 1946-1955; and Dean, 1955-1962. He owned and managed a restaurant in the 1930s in Boston, and was Deputy Director of the Procurement Policy Division of the War Production Board from 1941 to 1943. He served on the Board of Directors of many corporations, including S.H. Kress & Co., whose board he joined in 1958.

Stanley F. Teele resigned as Dean of HBS in 1962.
