Thomas Bruce Freas was a professor of chemistry, first at the University of Chicago and later at Columbia University in New York City. His wife was named Marie (often called Mollie) and they had sons named Royal and Joseph. Royal married Alice Ernestine Heideman, whose paper doll scrapbook is at this repository (Fol. 341).
