Batchelder, Mildred L., 1901-1998
Variant namesMildred L. Batchelder was a former director of the Association for Library Service to Children. She worked with the American Library Association from 1936 to 1966. She was an ambassador to the world on behalf of children and books, encouraging and promoting the translation of the world's best children's literature.
