Dr. Bender is a prominent child psychiatrist and author of articles and books on the subject. She has served on various civic organizations and committees for child welfare, and has been affiliated with the Boston Psychopathic Hospital, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Bellevue Hospital, and the New York State Department of Mental Hygiene. She is the developer of the Bender Test, a psychological test.
