Henderson, Yandell, 1873-1944
Variant namesHenderson was a physiologist at Yale University. Dr. Henderson helped develop some of the poisonous gases used in the First World War, as well as the gas mask worn by U.S. soldiers, and as contrition for his wartime efforts he had become America's most vociferous critic of automakers' efforts to market leaded gasoline.
