Gary M. Pomerantz is an award-winning journalist and author. After graduating from the University of California (Berkeley), Pomerantz joined The Washington Post as a sports reporter. In the 1990s, he moved to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution where he wrote feature stories, and penned columns and editorials. His first book was "Where Peachtree Meets Sweet Auburn: A Saga of Race and Family (1996)." It tells the story of race relations in 20th century Atlanta through the history of two families: the Allens and the Dobbs.
