The Committee on Finance and Investment was established in 1890. It was superseded in 1949 by the Investment Committee. It made or authorized the Business Manager to make investments of all University funds so designated. From 1922 to 1932, it supervised bookkeeping, financial records, and reports of the University and monitored the balance of individual University accounts. After 1932, these functions were absorbed by the Committee on Accounting and Audit.
