Hide Profile

Student Government at Penn State began in 1906 when the first Student Board, composed of six upperclassmen, were permitted to speak before members of the faulty and administration. This government became the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) in 1962. USG served as the official student voice of Penn State for forty-five years. In March 2005, Galen Foulke, President of USG from 2004 to 2006, moved to form a new student government and in April 2006, the newly formed University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) became the official student government at Penn State. USG was demoted to club status in April 2006 and dissolved in February 2007.
