Edelmiro Julián Farrell (b. Feb. 12, 1887-d. Oct. 21, 1980) was an Argentine general of Irish descent and became de facto President of Argentina between 1944 and 1946 as a result of the 1943 military coup. He appointed Juan Perón as his vice-president and was succeeded as president by Perón in a 1946 election.
