Harvey Joshua Levin was a Professor of Economics (1955-1964), Chairman of the Economics Department (1961-1964), Augustus B. Weller Professor of Economics (1964-1986), Special Professor of Law (1975-), Director of the Public Policy Workshop (1975-), and University Research Professor (1989-1992) at Hofstra. He was an economic consultant and scholar on issues of media broadcast regulations, active in community events dealing with communication regulations, and also held adjunct faculty positions at Columbia University.
