Landowner, Captain.

Sebastián Pintado served as General Land Surveyor in Spanish Louisiana until its secession to France in 1803. He then served in the same capacity in Pensacola, the capital of Spanish West Florida until its session to the United States in 1821. Pintado also held the rank of infantry captain and owned considerable property in Louisiana and West Florida. He returned to Havana in 1821 and continued actively pursuing Florida land transactions. Pintado died in Havana in August of 1829.
