A French architect, theorist, author and teacher, Bernard Tschumi was born 1944 in Lausanne, Switzerland. Tschumi has achieved a worldwide reputation for his award-winning designs, based on principles of disjunction and fragmentation. Since 1988 he has been Dean of the Graduate School of Architecture at Columbia University, New York.
