Originally composed for two pianos, 1912; this version 1931. Won First Prize and awarded a nationwide broadcast in the National Federation of Music Clubs Competition, 1939. First performance in a broadcast by the CBS Orchestra, New York, May 28, 1939, Howard Barlow conducting, Karl Ulrich Schnabel and Helen Fogel soloists.--Cf. Fleisher Collection.
