Lodewijk van den Berg (b. March 24, 1932, Sluiskil, The Netherlands) is a chemical engineer and asronaut. He earned a MS, chemical engineering Technical University, Delft, The Netherlands (1961) and a MS (1972), PhD (1975) in applied science, from the University of Delaware. Before After recieving his PhD, he joined the EG&G Corporation in California working with crystals. He was a payload specialist on the Challenger (1985) and conducted investigations in crystal growth.
