Cynthia Marie Lummis Wiederspahn (born September 10, 1954) is an American politician and attorney serving as the junior United States Senator from Wyoming. She is the first woman to represent Wyoming in the Senate. A member of the Republican Party, she served as the U.S. Representative for Wyoming's at-large congressional district from 2009 to 2017.

Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, she enrolled in the University of Wyoming in Laramie, obtaining two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in animal science in 1976 and one in biology in 1978. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Wyoming in 1985 and clerked for the Wyoming Supreme Court. Lummis began her political career as the acting director of the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. before being elected to the Wyoming House of Representatives, serving there from 1979 to 1983 and from 1985 to 1993. She was a member of the Wyoming Senate from 1993 to 1995. From 1995 to 1997, Lummis served as general counsel to Wyoming Governor Jim Geringer. From 1999 to 2007, she served as the 27th Treasurer of Wyoming.

Running for Wyoming's at-large seat in the U. S. House of Representatives in 2008, Lummis defeated Democratic nominee Gary Trauner by ten points. She was easily re-elected to three more terms before retiring from the House in 2017. After her retirement, it was speculated that Lummis was considering a run for governor of Wyoming in 2018. In late 2017, she ruled that out, saying that she was enjoying her time outside of public life but would likely run for office again later. The Trump administration actively considered her for Secretary of the Interior after Ryan Zinke resigned but David Bernhardt was eventually appointed to the position. After Wyoming Senator Mike Enzi announced his retirement ahead of the 2020 election cycle, Lummis announced her candidacy, ultimately winning the November 2020 election by nearly 50 points over Democratic nominee Merav Ben-David.
