Torbert Hart MacDonald (1917-1976), democrat and political figure from Massachusetts, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a lawyer and represented Massachusetts in Congress from 1955 to 1976; for the 8th District from 1955 to 1963 and for the 7th District from 1963 to 1976. MacDonald also served as a delegate to Democratic National Convention from Massachusetts in 1960, 1964, and 1968.
