Otto Molden (1918-2002) was an Austrian journalist and the son of Paula von Preradovic, an Austrian writer. Molden had worked in Austrian resistance groups at various points during the Nazi era; in the postwar period he was involved in reviving cultural life in Austria, co-founding, with his brother, Fritz Molden, the Österreichisches College and the associated Europäischen Forum Alpbach in Vienna. He had apparently visited Alma Mahler in California in 1951, during an extended visit in the U.S.
