Henrietta Jull was born in Perth in 1901. In 1921 she married Geoff Drake-Brockman. Henrietta wrote various articles as well as writing for the theatre in the 1930s and 1940s.

Author and historian. She was the only child of Martin Edward Jull, public servant, and his wife Roberta (nee Stewart), a medical practitioner from Scotland. She was a foundation member (1938) and President of the Fellowship of Australian Writers (WA Branch). In 1963, she published "Voyage to disaster", the story of Francisco Pelsaert and the wreck of the Batavia off the W.A. coast in 1629.
